Latest NHL Trade Rumors 2011

According to ESPN.COM, Pierre LeBrun listed ten players who are likely trade bait for the February 28th NHL trade deadline. Here are his ten 2011 NHL trade rumors:

Stars - Brad Richards

Panthers - Tomas Vokoun

Maple Leafs - Tomas Kaberle

Ducks - Joffrey Lupul

Senators - Alex Kovalev

Sabres - Tim Connolly

Devils - Jason Arnott, Jamie Langenbrunner
San Jose - Devin Setoguchi 
Hurricanes - Joni Pitkanen

These free agents have a good chance of being moved. Brad Richards and Tomas Vokoun are the biggest achievers on this list and could fetch some good draft picks or other returns for the Stars and Panthers. Some teams making a playoff push, that could free up some salaries could use their elite hockey services.

Not surprisingly, there are alot of underachievers on this list - whose names keeping coming up. Trade them already! It is interesting to note that Devils are trying to trade two players on the list. Zach Parise still needs to be signed for the next year. Rumor has it after the Kovalchuk fiasco, the Devils need to dump some salary in order to sign Parise and stay within the NHL salary cap. The problem for the Devils is teams may not exactly be lining up to trade for underachieving veterans.
