Brent Seabrook Trade Rumors

Trade rumors continue to surround the Chicago Blackhawks.  They are struggling to win consistently and make it to the playoffs for the 2010-2011 NHL season. They are sitting at 7th place in the Western Conference. The Wild and Sharks are 1 point behind the Blackhawks and the playoff race will come down to the wire. This would not be the first time Stanley Cup champions one year, have failed to make the playoffs the next year. With players like Dustin Byfuglien, Andrew Ladd, Ben Eager and Kris Versteeg traded away, the team does not have as much depth and it is showing.

Seabrook has been having a decent season with 3 goals, 23 assists and -1 in 47 games played, but it looks like he has hit a wall. The Blackhawks have alot of money tied up on the back end and need to relieve some cap pressures. Bowman is shopping Seabrook. The Dallas Stars have been showing interest. The Stars would trade James Neal and Matt Niskanen in return for Seabrook.
