Mike Commodore Trade Rumors

Commodore was a rugged defenseman in the 2008-2009 NHL season. For his efforts, he got a contract of $3.75 million per year.

The hockey world of the NHL changes fast. Commodore's play has slid somewhat and he does not fit into the top 4 defensemen for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets have sat him for half of the 2010-2011 season and Commodore has requested a trade.

Howson is trying to trade him. Unfortunately, for the Blue Jackets there are not alot of teams looking to pick up a bottom pairing defenseman for that hefty price tag. The Devils and the Lightning could use Commodore's services. He is still a decent defenseman with some value. Howson likes to trade with the Oilers, so you could expect a deal between those teams as well. A Mike Commodore trade for Sheldon Souray seems in order.
