Peter Forsberg Hockey Rumours
It seems Evgeni Nabokov is not the only player mounting a comeback to the NHL. Remember this hockey player? I bet Avalanche fans do and the Swedes will never forget him. Peter Forsberg has been spotted practicing with the Colorado Avalanche on the weekend. During his prime, Forsberg was one of the elite hockey players. He won the Hart and Art Ross Trophies in 2002-2003 NHL season and led the Avalanche to win Stanley Cups in 1996 and 2001.
Great - so bring back Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, Milan Hejduk and Colorado can contend for the Cup! Wait, Hejduk still plays for the Avalanche, only two more important pieces are needed. In all seriousness, I wish Forsberg the best. It is not easy to play NHL hockey at age 37 with a troublesome right foot. He has tried to come back before unsuccessfully.
How did he look in practice? "He looked good, he was moving well," teammate Paul Stastny said. "You do the battle drills in a couple practices and only he knows how his foot can hold up. Probably he'll have to see how he feels tomorrow. It was kind of a tough practice, a grueling practice with a lot of battling. That's a good way to test it out."
