Zach Bogosian Trade Rumors

Trade rumors continue to surround the Atlanta Thrashers for the 2011 NHL season. The Thrashers are 9th in the Eastern Conference with 58 points, tied with the 8th place Carolina Hurricanes. With solid defence and goaltending, the team is making a push for the playoffs.

Zach Bogosian, who was picked 3rd overall in the 2008 NHL Draft, is twenty years old. He has struggled this season with 11 points in 45 games and a -15. The Thrashers have depth at defence with Tobias Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien anchoring their blueline. What they need, is some good forwards for offence.

Last night, two scouts from the Thrashers drove to Nashville, in a mild snowstorm, to watch the game between the Predators and Oilers. The Oilers need future top defencemen and make good trading partners for the Thrashers. Look for Bogosian to be traded for Dustin Penner or Ales Hemsky straight up. An Oiler forward would help the Thrashers make the playoffs.
