Craig Anderson Signs 4 Years with Senators

Ottawa Senators GM Murray says about goaltender Craig Anderson, "He's brought stability. The position is one we need if you're going to retool and rebuild this hockey club gong forward." Murray signed Anderson to a new contract. The total contract is $12.75 million, an average of $3.19 million per year.

If Anderson can regain his form he had in the previous season when he took the Avalanche to the playoffs, this may be a decent deal for the Senators. However, Anderson has not been a proven starter in the NHL and signing him to 4 years is a risky move.
