Notes:  Antti Niemi achieved a personal best with 39 wins. Although he had an excellent regular season, he fell apart in the playoffs. The San Jose Sharks had a 3 – 0 series lead against the LA Kings and Niemi was pulled in games 4 and 5. Backup goaltender Alex Stalock looked good in relief and got the start for game 6. Niemi took the majority of the heat along with captain, Joe Thornton, for the collapse. Both were rumored to be available to trade.
