Patrick Sharp to Washington Capitals
The Chicago Blackhawks are in trade talks with the Washington Capitals over Patrick Sharp. The Washington Capitals are in search of a top line winger to play with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.
Sharp has been having a poor season with 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points in 49 games. He is 33 years old and may possibly be on the decline, making this a good time to deal him. The left winger is signed until 2016-17 to a $5.5M AAV contract.
The Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings also talked with the Chicago Blackhawks about a trade for Patrick Sharp.
