Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Sharp Trade Rumors
Trade rumors are running rampant over Patrick Sharp of the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks have over $66 million invested in 13 players for next season, and the salary cap is projected to be at $71 million. General manager Stan Bowman wants to re-sign restricted free agent forwards, Brandon Saad and Marcus Kruger this summer.
In an effort to clear up cap space and re-sign his young talent, Bowman is looking to trade Sharp for a first round 2015 NHL draft pick. Bob McKenzie says a trade is close:
Sharp accumulated 43 points in 68 games during the regular season. The left winger is under contract through 2016-17 with a cap hit of $5.9 million per season.
What teams do you think are willing to trade a first round draft pick for Patrick Sharp?
