Future looks bright in Buffalo
The Buffalo Sabres were very active on draft day making two big trades and selecting generational talent, Jack Eichel. General manager Tim Murray acquired Robin Lehner and David Legwand from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the 21st overall pick, but he wasn't finished there.
Murray traded Nikita Zadorov, Mikhail Grigorenko, J.T. Compher, and the 31st pick in exchange for Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn. O'Reilly is only 24 years old and is coming off a decent year in Colorado with 17 goals and 38 assists in 82 games. McGinn is 26 years old and was sidelined for most of last season after injuring his back. He managed to score 4 goals and 2 assists in 19 games.
With all of these new additions, the future certainly looks bright for the Buffalo Sabres.
