Kevin Bieksa Traded To Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks busy off season continues as they acquired veteran defenseman Kevin Bieksa from the Vancouver Canucks. In return the Canucks receive a second round selection in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Bieksa who has spent his entire NHL career with the Canucks has 56 goals and 241 points with a +22 rating and 879 penalty minutes in 597 games. He had 4 goals and 14 points in 60 games last season. Bieksa also registered no points and 9 penalty minutes in six post season games. Bieksa may benefit from the change in scenery. Anaheim will surely benefit from his veteran leadership on the defensive side and in the locker room.
