Ryan O'Reilly for Sabres Nikita Zadorov, 21st Overall Pick
The Colorado Avalanche are shopping forward Ryan O’Reilly in an effort to upgrade their defense. Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman said:
One team that has made it known that they are willing to listen on a particular player is the Colorado Avalanche with Ryan O'Reilly. No guarantee it happens but they're willing to listen, and you have to think they would want defensemen in return.
The 24 year old center scored 17 goals and 55 points in 82 games. He has a cap hit of $6.2 million and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July 2016.
The Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals are showing interest in Ryan O'Reilly. The Buffalo Sabres general manager Tim Murray publicly stated he intends to do everything he can to land O’Reilly. The Sabres are offering defenseman Nikita Zadorov and their 21st overall draft pick in a trade for Ryan O'Reilly.
