Cory Schneider Proposes a Separate Statistic Category for 3-On-3 Overtime

Should the NHL separate the regulation and overtime statistics with the dawn of the new 3-on-3 overtime? That's what New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider would like:

I propose to create a statistic category for 3-on-3 overtime so they won't be added onto our normal statistics since the 3-on-3 will be harder on the goaltenders. The 3-on-3 will be a good time for players to become more creative with their play and the fans love it. With that said, it'll be more difficult for us goaltenders.

Do you think there should be a separate category for 3-on-3 stats?
