Former NHL Enforcer Knocks His Team's Doctor Out
Former NHL enforcer Andrei Nazarov made a name for himself by punching people in the head, and it may now have landed him in serious trouble. According to Sports Illustrated, Nazarov was involved in an argument that resulted in him punching his team’s doctor in the head and caused a traumatic brain injury.
Nazarov is now coach of the KHL’s SKA St. Petersburg club. He delivered a haymaker to the head of team doctor Yegor Kozlov on Tuesday. The two men were heard arguing before the alleged assault took place. The doctor is considering pressing charges.
Nazarov accumulated an impressive 131 fighting majors during his 12 seasons in the NHL.
