Rumor: Two of Vancouver Canucks Best Players on Trading Block
The Vancouver Canucks do not plan on signing Dan Hamhuis and Radim Vrbata to extensions. Both players are unrestricted free agents at the end of the 2015-16 NHL season. They are likely to be traded before next year's trade deadline. General manager Jim Benning said:
We’re going to go into the season and see how it goes. We’ve touched base with their agents a little, but we’ll see how it plays out.
Hamhuis was a 2014 Olympic gold medal defenseman with team Canada. Vrbata was a NHL All-Star winger last season. Both veterans will fetch a substantial return.
