Video: Interview with Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse at Oilers orientation camp

Generational talent, Connor McDavid, signed his first professional contract with the Edmonton Oilers. McDavid gets a max entry level contract for $925,000 and he can make an additional $2.85 million in performance bonuses. McDavid said:

It's very special, there's your draft day and there's the day you sign your first NHL first contract. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. I'm very honoured to be able to do that.

Approximately 3000 fans came out to Rexall Place to see their new star hit the ice at the Oilers orientation camp. Every time McDavid made a play, fans cheered loudly with excitement. Oilers fans are certainly not being shy about their excitement for the upcoming season and their future.
