Vladimir Tarasenko Turned Down a Monstrous Contract From Another Team
The St. Louis Blues recently signed Vladimir Tarasenko to a long term contract worth $60 million dollars. Tarasenko was offered a more lucrative contract by another team.
According to Slava Malamud, a Russian reporter, Tarasenko turned down an offer from SKA Saint-Petersburg, a KHL team. Tarasenko was offered a whopping $11 million dollars per season, which would make him one of the highest paid players in hockey.
SKA offered him $3.5 million dollars more per year than the contract he signed with the Blues. SKA's head coach recently knocked out his own team’s doctor so it appears Tarasenko made the wise decision.
