Who is the best player of all-time, Gretzky or Lemieux?

Who is the best NHL player of all-time, Wayne Gretzky or Mario Lemieux? The debate goes on.

Hockey Hall of Fame defenseman, Nicklas Lidstrom, thinks Mario Lemieux was the best player he ever played against, one vs one. Lidstrom said:

"It was all about Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Steve Yzerman. Lemieux had an incredible reach and some really good skills with his stick. Gretzky had that too, but he made all the players around him better. Individually, I would say Lemieux was the better player."

Lidstrom played against Gretzky and Lemieux many times during his 1,827 game career. In addition, others say defenseman Bobby Orr was the best player ever.

In 20 years time, will Connor McDavid be considered the best player of all-time?
