NHL Free Agency Rumors: Alexander Radulov to Detroit Red Wings
Free agent Alexander Radulov, currently playing in Russia, is returning to the NHL. The Detroit Red Wings are the front runners to sign him and are looking at a one year deal in the 4 to 5 million dollar range. Radulov hasn't played in the NHL since the 2011 season but was productive in his short stints in Nashville.
Radulov's second stint with the Predators ended shortly after he and teammate Andrei Kostitsyn were suspended for breaking curfew during the second-round series against the Phoenix Coyotes. He has since reportedly matured and settled down and has a 5-month-old son.
Signing Radulov ends speculation that the Red Wings pursue Stamkos since Detroit would not have the cap space to pursue him.
