NHL Free Agency Rumors: Troy Brouwer to Vancouver Canucks
Vancouver, BC native Troy Brouwer expressed interest of playing for his hometown Vancouver Canucks earlier this week with Vancouver's News 1130 Sports.
Brouwer at age 30, is coming off an impressive playoff run to the western conference finals with the St. Louis Blues. He contributed 8 goals and 5 assists while averaging 19 minutes of ice time. The Blues number one priority is re-signing RFA forward Jaden Schwartz, who is expected to gain a big raise from his $2.5 million salary of last season, making the chances of Brouwer re-signing unlikely.
Armstrong said priority No. 1 is to sign forward Jaden Schwartz. #stlblues— St. Louis Blues (@StLouisBlues) May 31, 2016
