NHL Trade Rumors: Taylor Hall to New York Islanders
Trade rumors surround the New York Islanders and the Edmonton Oilers. It's believed Islanders GM Garth Snow is pursuing Taylor Hall.
Hall is a top left winger in the NHL, at close to a point per game over 6 seasons. He is signed to a $6 million annual cap hit until 2020.
According to Arthur Staple, the Islanders would love to trade for Hall. The Oilers would want a top right handed defenseman, Travis Hamonic, as part of a package in return.
Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli is overhauling his roster this offseason, and desperately needs to acquire a top right handed defenseman. Hall may be sick of losing in Edmonton and welcome a move. Will Chiarelli continue his trend of trading young, gifted forwards like he did in Boston?
