KHL expansion to London, United Kingdom

The KHL expanded to Beijing, China in December 2015. Now, the league has its sights set on London, United Kingdom.

The KHL gained permission from the British Ice Hockey Association to expand a team into London. The United Kingdom is currently home to the Elite Ice Hockey League, which has 10 teams.

Including a proposed team in London, the KHL will have 30 teams in 8 countries throughout Europe and Asia.
