Video: Jaromir Jagr ties Mark Messier for 2nd all-time in career points

Jaromir Jagr of the Florida Panthers tied Mark Messier for second all-time in career points on Tuesday night. Jagr tallied three assists against the Buffalo Sabres.



Jagr assisted on goals by Nick Bjugstad, Aleksander Barkov and Keith Yandle in the Panthers 4-3 shootout win. The Panthers played a video salute to the legend before the teams went to overtime.

Jagr scored 1887 points in 1662 career games. Messier scored 1887 points in 1756 career games. Forty-four year old Jagr played through 3 lockouts and took a break to play in the KHL for 3 years, before returning to the NHL.
