BREAKING: Ben Bishop traded to LA Kings
The LA Kings have reportedly acquired goalie Ben Bishop from the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie on Sunday.
The Lightning traded goaltender Ben Bishop and a fifth round pick in the 2017 draft to the Kings in exchange for goaltender Peter Budaj, defenceman Erik Cernak, a 7th round pick in the 2017 NHL draft and a conditional pick in the same draft.
The news comes one day after Jonathan Quick returned to the Kings net after a 59 game absence due to a groin injury. Quick was solid in a win against the Anaheim Ducks. The Kings are three points out of the final wild card spot in the West.
