Former NHLer being investigated by the LAPD

Former NHLer Mike Comrie is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for rape. Comrie, 36, has been accused of raping a woman at his Los Angeles home, but he stated that it was consensual.

Law Enforcement sources have stated that the woman met up with the former NHLer at a bar Saturday night and went to his condo. The victim claimed that he raped her multiple times.

After the act was accomplished, she stated that she immediately went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center nearby, and a rape kit was administered. Sources connected to the 36-year-old former athlete claim the woman, who Mike has allegedly known for a long time, had given her full consent to sex. They also allege there was another woman present during their sexual encounter and she has not filed a complaint.

Comrie played for the Edmonton Oilers, the New York Islanders, the Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and the Philadelphia Flyers during a 13 year stint in the NHL. He is mostly known for his marriage to actress/singer Hillary Duff with whom he has a 4-year old son.
