NHL Free Agency Rumors: Sam Gagner to Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks are interested in signing unrestricted free agent forward, Sam Gagner. Gagner is coming off a $650,000 contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He could be signed for around $1M.

The 27-year-old scored 18 goals and 50 points last season. Gagner would give the Blackhawks center depth and depth on the power play. The Athletic's Scott Powers is reporting that the interest is mutual, meaning Gagner wants to sign with the Hawks, and the Hawks want Gagner.

Gagner might have great chemistry with Patrick Kane. The two played junior hockey together on the London Knights.
