NHL Trade Rumors: Mike Smith to Calgary Flames

The Arizona Coyotes are close to trading Mike Smith. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman believes that Smith is headed to the Calgary Flames.



The 35-year-old goaltender comes with a $5.6M cap hit. The Flames are offering a third-round draft pick in return for Mike Smith.

Update: Mike Smith was traded to Flames for Chad Johnson, Brandon Hickey and a conditional 3rd round pick.
