NHL Trade Rumors: PK Subban for Matt Duchene

For months, rumors have been circulating that the Nashville Predators are unhappy with PK Subban's antics and want him gone. Incredibly, it appears Subban was indeed on the trade block this summer.

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman says he received information this summer that the Colorado Avalanche attempted to trade Matt Duchene for PK Subban.

Duchene would love to go to Nashville, and the Predators have been a legit pursuer. In fact, a couple of players said they heard this summer about rumours of a Duchene for PK Subban deal.

Friedman asked both general managers to comment on this rumor, but they refused to comment. Friedman believes that the long-term injury to Ryan Ellis made it less likely that the Predators will trade PK Subban.
