Free agents signings
Calgary signs D Cody Goloubef to a 1-year, 650K deal.
Boston signs F Brian Gionta to a 1-year, 700K deal (+300k in performance bonuses).
Nashville signs F Mike Fisher to a 1-year, 1 million dollar deal.
Anaheim signs F Chris Kelly to a 1-year 1.25 million dollar deal.

Flyers claim D Johnny Oduya off waivers from Ottawa
Flames claim F Chris Stewart off waivers from Minnesota
Avalanche claim D Mark Alt off waivers from Philadelphia

Trades

• Bruins acquire F Rick Nash (50% retained) from the Rangers for F Ryan Spooner, F Matt Beleskey (50% retained), D Ryan Lindgren, 2018 1st-round pick and a 2019 7th-round pick. 
• Maple Leafs acquire F Tomas Plekanec (50% retained) and F Kyle Baun from Canadiens in exchange for F Kerby Rychel, D Rinat Valiev, and a 2018 2nd-round pick.
• 3-way trade sends F Mark Letestu to Columbus, F Pontus Aberg to Edmonton, and a 2018 4th round pick to Nashville
• Predators acquire F Brandon Bollig and G Troy Grosenick from Sharks in exchange for a 2018 6th-round pick. 
• Blue Jackets acquire D Ian Cole from Senators in exchange for F Nick Moutrey, and a 2020 3rd-round pick. 
• Predators acquire F Ryan Hartman and a 2018 5th-round pick from Blackhawks in exchange for a 2018 1st-round pick, F Victor Ejdsell, and a 2018 4th-round pick 
• Jets acquire F Paul Statsny (50% retained) from Blues in exchange for a 2018 1st-round pick, F Erik Foley, and a conditional 2020 4th-round pick.
  -If Erik Foley resigns with St Louis by August 16th, the 2020 4th-round pick is not given.
  -2018 1st-round pick is top-3 protected. Should Winnepeg get pick 1-3, they give St Louis their 2019 1st-rounder.
• Canucks acquire F Brendan Leipsic from Golden Knights in exchange for D Philip Holm.
• Blue Jackets acquire F Ryan Kujawinski from Arizona for F Jordan Maletta.
• Islanders acquired F Chris Wagner from Anaheim for F Jason Chimera.
• Sharks acquire Evander Kane from Sabres in exchange for a conditional 2019 1st-round pick, a conditional 2020 4th-round pick, and F Dan O'Regan.
  -If Kane does not re-sign with Sharks, the 2019 1st rounder becomes a 2nd-rounder. 
• Blue Jackets acquire F Thomas Vanek from Canucks for F Jussi Jokinen and F Tyler Motte.
• Golden Knights acquire F Tomas Tatar from Red Wings for a 2018 1st-round pick, a 2019 2nd-round pick and a 2021 3rd-round pick. 
• Lightning acquire D Ryan McDonagh and F J.T. Miller from Rangers in exchange for F Brett Howden, D Libor Hajek, F Vladislav Namestnikov, a 2018 1st-round pick, and a conditional 2nd-round pick.
  -If Tampa Bay wins the Stanley cup this year or next year, the pick turns into a 1st-rounder.
• Penguins acquire F Josh Jooris from Hurricanes for F Greg McKegg.
• Jets acquire D Joe Morrow from Canadiens for a 2018 4th-round pick.
• Flames acquire F Nick Shore from Senators for  a 2019 7th-round pick.
• Canadiens acquire D Mike Reilly from Wild for a 2019 5th-round pick.
• Devils acquire Patrick Maroon from Oilers for F J.D. Dudek and a 2019 3rd-round pick.
• Bruins acquire F Tommy Wingels from Blackhawks for a conditional 2019 5th-round pick.
