MAJOR TRADE RUMOR: Top defenceman on the market?

The Buffalo Sabres are currently the front-runners to draft players such as Rasmus Dahlin, Andrei Svechnikov or even Filip Zadina as they won the NHL draft lottery. For the past seasons they've been struggling very much only scoring 148 even-strength goals this season. And they are hungry to acquire some help.

According to Jim Matheson, writer for the Edmonton Journal, he reported earlier this week that the Buffalo Sabres are looking to trade Rasmus Ristolainen to the Edmonton Oilers if they would draft Rasmus Dahlin this coming draft. Matheson also added that there's been some chatter as to what Ristolainen may be available. What would Edmonton have to give up is pretty pricey, stating that the Buffalo Sabres want Edmonton's 10th overall pick, giving Buffalo the 1st and 10th overall pick this season. He also added that both teams have talked and there may be a deal done before the draft. The Oilers have been looking for either a right winger or a puck moving defenceman for a while now, since their draft projection during the lottery fell from 9th to 10th and would be willing to trade away their pick for help

With Buffalo's offensive being so scoreless, they have also been looking at players of the Edmonton organization such as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins or Ryan Strome.

In another tweet tweeted out by the writer, he has stated that the Sabres could look to the Toronto Maple Leafs into acquiring William Nylander for Ristolainen. That way the team could have both Nylanders. Al though this is a long shot, do you believe that Buffalo could pull off such a stunt in this upcoming draft?

Ristolainen, a 6'4, 218 pound defenceman, scored 31 goals, 120 assists for a total of 151 points in 346 games during his time in the NHL.

Which trade is most likely to happen?

Ristolainen to Edmonton for 10th overall pick
Ristolainen to Toronto for William Nylander
Ristolainen to Edmonton for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Ristolainen to Edmonton for Ryan Strome
