BREAKING: Garth Snow "Relieved Of His Duties" As GM of the Islanders

Lou Lamoriello announced some personnel changes today.

Both general manager Garth Snow and head coach Doug Weight have been "relieved of their duties," however both will still remain in the organisation.

This is certainly a good sign for Islanders fans, since pending UFA John Tavares said he wanted to see changes for the franchise if he chose to stay with the Islanders.

Lou Lamoriello will now take the reins as GM of the Islanders, and is now looking for someone to take over as head coach.
