Report: Erik Karlsson Heading to the Tampa Bay Lightning
The Erik Karlsson trade rumours have been flying around for quite some time, and one reporter says it has finished.
TSN's Shawn Simpson tweeted that a trade sending Erik Karlsson to Tampa Bay has been finished, and now needs to be approved by the league's office.
If this is the case, they Senators will either need to retain cap on Karlsson, or take on a player like Ryan Callahan to save cap space.
The Lightning with Karlsson will be an almost guarantee for the Stanley cup if this report turns out to be true. Solidifying the defensive core with Hedman and Mcdonagh round out the top 3, and Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov already up front.

My NHL sources tell me a Karlsson deal to Tampa is done, pending a call with the league office. @TSN1200— Shawn Simpson (@TSNSimmer) July 6, 2018
