BREAKING: Max Pacioretty Traded to Vegas

The Pacioretty drama has come to an end. He has been traded!
The Vegas Golden Knights acquire Max Pacioretty from the Montreal Canadiens for Nick Suzuki, Tomas Tatar, and a 2019 2nd round pick.

The 2019 2nd round pick will be Columbus Blue Jackets' pick acquired in the trade that sent David Clarkson to Vegas.

Montreal retains 450K of Pacioretty's Salary (1 year left), and Vegas retains 500K of Tatar's salary (3 years left).

UPDATE: Pacioretty has just signed a 4-year, 28 million dollar extension with Vegas. This carries an AAV of 7 million per season. No information on any trade clauses has been released yet.
