BREAKING: Steve Yzerman Steps Down as Lightning GM
Some shocking news out of Tampa Bay today.
Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman has stepped down. Reports have it that he will be looking for a new job with the Detroit Red Wings.
Yzerman has been the equivalent of king Midas since arriving in Tampa Bay. Everyone he drafts, signs, or trades turns to gold. Some examples are Mikhail Sergachev, Andrei Vasilevskiy, and Nikita Kucherov.
So to say this comes as a surprise to many is a dramatic understatement.
