Report: Henrik Zetterberg's Hockey Career is Over
It looks like Henrik Zetterberg's hockey career has finished.
Detroit GM Ken Holland announced today that Henrik Zetterberg will not attempt to return to hockey from the back condition that was supposed to hold him out for the start of the season.
Zetterberg is one of the last pieces to fall of the old Red Wing empire. He played his entire career with Detroit, scoring 337 goals and 960 points in 1082 NHL games.
His contract carries a cap hit of 6.083 million dollars for the next three years, which will likely be placed on LTIR like Marian Hossa or Nathan Horton.
