BREAKING: Coyotes Sign Jakob Chychrun to a 6-Year Extension

Some big news out of Arizona today, as the Coyotes lock up one of their key young defenders.

The Coyotes have signed 20-year old Jakob Chychrun to a 6-year, 27.6 million dollar contract extension. This carries an AAV of 4.6 million dollars per season.

A former 16th overall pick in 2016, Chychrun has played in 118 NHL games, scoring 11 goals and 34 assists in that time. The rights to his draft pick were actually acquired by Arizona from Detroit in the Pavel Datsyuk cap dump... I mean trade.
