Rumor: Colton Parayko to the Edmonton Oilers

Earlier this month, St. Louis Blues' GM Doug Armstrong told other teams that all of his players, including Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Pietrangelo are available at the right price. On Friday, TSN's Frank Seravalli updated the TSN Trade Bait Board.

One name being at the top of the list is defenceman Colton Parayko, a name you wouldn't expect to be at the top of the list. After the wild week in St. Louis, the coach being fired, fights during practice and failure to be a competitive team at all. Although Parayko isn't new to the rumor mill, his services could help a team in the long run with him being only 25 years old.

Parayko, a St. Albert, Alberta native, is a defenceman that's interested teams due to him being a right handed shot, which is something multiple teams have desperately been searching for. In his post, Seravalli went out of his way to single out one team specifically, that team being the Edmonton Oilers.
Hello, Edmonton Oilers: The St. Albert, Alta., native slipped past you once before.
A local youngster with a million reasons why he could help the Oilers out on the ice, but could serve as a great marketing tool for the team moving forward, but the question remains what is Edmonton general manager Peter Chiarelli would be willing to give up for the defenceman.
