Zach Hyman suspended two games without pay

Zach Hyman of the Toronto Maple Leafs has been suspended for two games, without pay, for his late hit on Boston Bruins Defensemen Charlie McAvoy.

The incident occurred at 9:53 into the third period of Saturdays game in Boston. Hyman was assessed a major penalty for interference along with a game misconduct.

Following the hit, Bruins defensemen Matt Grzelcyk took exception and went after Hyman, ensuing a fight.

McAvoy missed 19 games this season with a concussion. He remained hunched over on the ice after the hit and was eventually able to skate of the ice on his own.
