BREAKING: Oilers fire GM, president of hockey operations Peter Chiarelli
The Edmonton Oilers have fired general manager and president of hockey operations Peter Chiarelli following the franchise's 3-2 to the Detroit Red Wings
According to TSN's Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers have fired Chiarelli. Everyone saw this coming.
During his time in Edmonton, Chiarelli gave away star Matthew Barzal for nothing. He also traded Taylor Hall to the New Jersey Devils for Adam Larsson. He also sent Jordan Eberle to the Islanders for Ryan Strome who was traded for Ryan Spooner, who now cleared waivers.
Most of his blockbuster trades ended with Edmonton getting robbed.
