Don Cherry rips Elias Pettersson over injury

Vancouver Canucks' star rookie Elias Pettersson got injured in the matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vancouver Canucks after he got tangled up with Montreal Canadiens' Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

Pettersson, 20, is running away as the Calder Trophy winner for this season was already injured once this season after he was choke slammed by Florida Panthers' Mike Matheson. Although Pettersson confirmed during an interview on Sportsnet that his current injury was more scare than harm, Don Cherry ripped the rookie for the injury.

On Saturday night, as the Vancouver Canucks were in Toronto, during a segment on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada, Don Cherry weighed in on Pettersson's injury.
He was looking for trouble there and it wouldn't have happened. He's got to stop looking for trouble because if you do that in the National Hockey League, you'll find it.
Have a look at the full Coach's corner segment: Although Cherry compared Pettersson to Gretzky earlier this season, Cherry then doubled down on his comment and said Pettersson was always looking for trouble. What's your take on Cherry's comments, is he right, or is he wrong?
