3 new rules for the 2019-2020 NHL Season after the GM meeting
There will be 3 major changes next season concerning power-plays and live play after day 2 of the general manager meeting.
The first change that will happen next season is that the team on the power-play will be able to decide which face-off circle they want the face-off to take place. Another change concerning the power-play is that the team on the power-play that does an illegal dump-in won't have to take the face-off in their zone and the face-off will take place in the neutral zone.
The third change to come next season is if a player loses the brain bucket (helmet) during live play, they can no longer play and will automatically have to go towards the bench. If they don't, they will receive a minor penalty.
