Truck driver responsible of the Humboldt Broncos crash sentenced to 8-year prison term
The truck drivers that caused the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash has been sentenced to 8 years in prison today.
Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the tractor trailer driver that killed 16 people and injured 13 others on April 6th, 2018, in rural Saskatchewan has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for his involvement in the crash.
In January, Sidhu pleaded guilty to all 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He was sentenced to 8 years for each count of causing death and 5 years for each count of bodily harm. Both sentences are going to be served concurrently.
