Thursday's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Islanders, things took a turn for the worse during the 2nd period when Isles defenceman Johnny Boychuk took a skate to the neck.
Things took a gruesome turn Thursday night when Islanders defenceman Johnny Boychuk took Mitch Marner's skate to the neck after Marner fell awkwardly.
Boychuk was rushed to the dressing room with a towel pressed against his neck. Have a look at the gruesome accident:
Boychuk later returned to the game, and Isles head coach Barry Trotz stated that Boychuk was milli-inches away from a catasprophe.
