Pavel Datsyuk in talks with the Red Wings to return

It appears Steve Yzerman may be getting back a huge piece for his first season as the Red Wings general manager. According to Elliotte Friedman, Pavel Datsyuk is in talks to return to the club. Ken Holland had initiated the talks before Yzerman was back on board, and the hope is for Yzerman to close the deal.


With the Magic Man in the lineup the Wings could get a huge boost to their top-6. Datsyuk is due in Michigan soon to meet with the management group as the Russian star announced via Twitter his SKA career has come to a close. His NHL career however, may not be done at all.
