Auston Matthews undergoes surgery, will be ready for training camp
Auston Matthews was in beast mode the first round against the Bruins, unfortunately for his team it wasn't enough. It now appears Matthews did so in need of some medical attention.
The procedure took place to remove surgical hardware from a 2014 operation. No word yet on why it took so long to have this properly fixed, but as we all saw with his 5 goals in 7 playoff games this year, it wasn't bugging him too much. Matthews is coming off 73 points in 68 games and is expected to be ready to go for his summer training. Good news for Leafs Nation.
