BREAKING: Andrew Shaw Traded Back to Chicago Blackhawks

On the eve of NHL free agency, the Canadiens have pulled off a trade.
The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired Andrew Shaw and a 7th round pick in 2021 from the Montreal Candiens in exchange for a 2nd round pick and 7th round pick in 2020, and a 3rd round pick in 2021.

No salary will be retained, meaning Montreal has saved 3.9 million dollars in cap space.
