BREAKING: Erik Karlsson re-signs with the San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have re-signed defenceman Erik Karlsson to an 8-year, $88+ million contract with an AAV of $11+ million.

During his first year with the franchise, Karlsson played 53 games and scored 45 points (3G, 42A.) TSN's Bob McKenzie believes Karlsson's AAV will come in around $11.5 million.
