One of the bigger names on the list of pending UFAs has been locked up.
The New York Islanders have re-signed Jordan Eberle to a 5-year, 27.5 million dollar contract. That carries a cap hit of 5.5 million dollars per season.
The 29-year old had 19 goals and 37 points in 78 games with the Islanders this season.
After being acquired by the Islanders in exchange for Ryan Strome, Eberle has performed quite admirably, scoring 44 goals and 96 points in 159 games with the Islanders over the last two seasons.
