BREAKING: Roberto Luongo announces his retirement
After lacing up the skates for 19 seasons, goaltender Roberto Luongo has announced his retirement from professional hockey.
Luongo announced his retirement in the ultimate Luongo fashion with a hint of comedy in it via Twitter.
Luongo played in 19 NHL seasons with 3 different teams, the Vancouver Canucks with whom he made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011, the Florida Panthers and the New York Islanders.
