Rumor: Montreal clearing cap space for both Matt Duchene and Corey Perry
The Montreal Canadiens have been busy Sunday, making a couple of deals, sending Andrew Shaw back to the Blackhawks and loading off Nicolas Deslauriers to the Ducks.
Both deals give the Habs a chance to ship out some money and if they do waive Dale Weise and Karl Alzner, as they did last season, they will have almost $16 million in cap space.
According to sources, the Habs are going hard after centre Matt Duchene and winger, Corey Perry. The Habs have created the cap space to sign both players, and if Nashville doesn't convince Duchene to sign, the Habs will be ready and willing. Duchene has mentioned his family grew up Canadiens fans, so there's that. Perry on the other hand is believed to have 4 strong offers he's considering, including the Penguins which have been stated as a front runner.
Habs fans, would you be ok with having Duchene and Perry in your lineup?
